      And the sad thing is, he could probably get more than $600 for it on eBay, at least these days.

        Hopefully, Marla or Val would suggest that. Unfortunately, he probably has no idea what the internet is, much less eBay.

    I can’t believe they have to accept a return from 27 years ago! The receipts I’ve gotten usually say to return it within a certain number of days.

      Oh, they do, but then they just complain to Corporate, and they force them to take the return.

    He should have said 1987. In one strip, Marla asked Stuart why Grumbel’s haven’t updated their hiring ad in the mall directory since the grand opening in 1987. He could not have bought it from Grumbel’s in 1981 at Smithfield Mall!

    does Grumbel’s have an unlimited return window?

    Honestly, send him to Cooper and have Cooper convince him that he’ll get his money back after Cooper sells it on Ebay or somewhere for at LEAST $1000
