There’s a guy whose whole Youtube schtick is reading out reddit postings about malicious compliance, revenge stories, etc. One of his best is the story of a family whose phone number happened to be exactly like that of a local pizza franchise but with the last two numbers switched around, so they were constantly peppered with incorrect phone calls a la the Buckets receiving orders for Chinese food in KEEPING UP APPEARANCES but with a funnier reaction. When trying to get the owners to change their phone number failed, followed up by an ad holding the exact same error, the kid gloves were off and the pranking began, one of their lesser reactions being simply taking an order, tossing it aside, and letting the actual pizza place bear the brunt of the would-be customer’s anger.
