I used to have a best friend who was deaf. (she’s passed away now). Sometimes we’d be somewhere loud and I’d say it was noisy and she’d say “I think it’s very quiet in here!” It was nice we could make jokes like that. Another time a group of us (some deaf people included) were riding back home after a long day and the 2 deaf girls fell asleep and I wanted to snooze too but one of the women was talking so loud that I couldn’t. I found myself envying the deaf girls. But when it comes to music I love then I am sorry for those who can’t hear.
Truth to be told, I’m glad that I’m deaf. I do wear hearing aids but I don’t really hear the music well when working at a supermarket.
