I went Black Friday shopping every year for 14 years. I never even saw a hint of this insanity. I guess I just never lived anywhere busy enough.

Stories about this always kept me away from stores on Black Friday whenever I could.

And HomeGoods never had a Black Friday sale — stuff there is already on sale all the time — so we only got people filtering through later in the day after they’d hit the big sales.

Black Friday is one of the days of the year you WANT to work if you’re in grocery. Everyone’s too busy at the other stores to come here.
