I swear, at this point I was half-expecting to someday there be a strip which revealed that Stuart was secretly living in the mall. And not because he was homeless or something that would provoke sympathy, just his hare-brained need to please the corporates overlords all the time.

Seriously, otherwise how else could he have gotten in on time? Either he came to the mall around dawn or he’s not obeying the off-site parking rule himself (which wouldn’t surprise me).

He’s management. The off-site parking rule won’t apply to him.

Marla was the assistant manager at the time of this strip. Does that count for nothing?

Bull. If someone died Stuart would be at the funeral saying ‘how can you do this without getting your shift covered’.

Yep. Like when I took the day off because they were switching off my Mum’s life support, and I got told off for not submitting a progress report that day … because I knew in advance they were going to switch it off.
