Agreed. Two consecutive days of rest per week for all, and the specific days should be left to the individual worker to decide.
(Subject to amendment should we decide to move to a four-day work week as a society.)
My preferred days off are Tuesday and Wednesday so working weekends, and by extension holidays that typically land on weekends and Mondays, has never been a problem for me.
