    This is the sort of thing that made it highly implausible that Marla would stay in this job. The pay is lousy, the job is horrible and her work environment is toxic. But it’s the paradox of the premise – she has to be miserable to make the strip interesting but it also has to make sense that she’d stay in a job this bad. After a while it got to be inexplicable.

      Sort of like how Marge doesn’t divorce Homer and the whole town doesn’t riot and lynch Mr. Burns.

        Marge loves Homer and the town’s been stealing money out of Burns’s vault for years.
