If all the other stores in your chain had the same problem, that’s legitimate false advertising. You can’t say “X is on sale!” if you don’t actually carry X in any capacity.
She can’t answer the question because she doesn’t know. Corporate is some oligarch entity that dictates everything in the store and she’s been at war with them since the strip began. They impose impossible quotas and issue impossible edicts. But no one knows exactly who they are. There is a head office you can call though, buddy if you want to complain.
You’re assuming it’s one person, and that corporate wants *ANYONE* to know who they are.
