In rare situations like this (were an employee goes above and beyond) I would actually would manually adjust the employee’s time card and give them an extra hour or two. Though a situation were I couldn’t asked the District Manager as he would have to say no but we were close enough that he “knew” and trusted my judgment and as I said, circumstances were very rare.
Ah, the old forgot-to-plus-it-in punchline for technological hassles… old as all get out but, sadly, still relevant even today.
