    Normal work hours don’t exist in retail. You work when you have to work. Doesn’t matter if it’s day or night, nor wether it’s a weekend or not.

      That sounds like you’re in danger of being called to come into work *while* you’re working there already.

        Yep, it happens. You go to end your shift and there’s a text on your phone in the locker telling you you’re working the late shift today.

    I had a retail job once that was truly an exception to the norm. I actually had an 8 am to 1 pm schedule M-F. I was hired specifically for that schedule and it didn’t change until I went full time. Then it was 8-4 M-F.
