To be fair, sometimes hourly employees who don’t do opening shifts may not know. Heck, I took a while to figure that out when I first started working at my retail jobs. Opening and closing hours were the last thing on my mind when I was trying to remember a million other things.
When that happens to me, I just say “I wish all my problems were that easy.”
Idiot caller could’ve asked that question to anyone who answered. But no, they had to ask for the manager.
Probably didn’t want to bother the front end staff. All it took was a redirect. That’s a win.
