Up until a couple years ago, I had a 27″ Magnavox in my room that I used routinely for DVDs and PS2 games. Finally gave up the ghost. Still there because I do NOT want to try wrangling 140 pounds of TV and 40 pounds of dust to move it.

I hear ya. I used to work at a county run HHW which started accepting E-Waste. The Sony Trinitron (or Triniy Ton as we called it) were the absolute Effing worst. Sony must have packed at least 100 lbs of lead into those beasts, and each one was always a ‘Team Lift’.

C.R.Ts are still well sought after by certain sets like those that do speed run or play fighting games cause of display delay.

    And If it ain’t broke….
