I stayed in a smoking room once. Of course, it was in a hotel of the borderline “no tell” variety, so I barely noticed considering everything else that was wrong with the place.
Last time I stayed in a smoking room was the last time I was in the Philippines. Apparently, every room there is a smoking room, and every table in a restaurant is a smoking table. That’s because smokers are selfish scum. The entire stay was a nightmare.
I live in an apartment in a non-smoking building. Somebody here doesn’t believe that landlords can prohibit smoking so they light up all they want, and it makes it very hard for me to live in my own place. There have been numerous complaints about them… hopefully they’ll get themselves evicted soon, because like John Henry said, they’re selfish scum, thieves who don’t even realize they’ve stolen my decision to live in a non-smoking building.
I could never sleep in one of those. Ugh. 😛
