    The lot number means that the yarn skeins came from the same dyed batch. You’re supposed to buy multiple skeins from the same lot number, or the yarn might not match correctly. So much for Crazy Hat Lady knowing everything about yarn!

      The reason is explained in the second panel. It’s bad luck. Maybe she knows more about yarn than you think.

        And everyone that Does know something about yarn knows this just makes her all the more nuts.

      Honestly I can think of several crafts projects where a slight variation in yarn colour would look awesome.

    how much money do they make off of this customer? how much is her abuse worth it in comparison to just banning her from the store?
