    I get the joke, but in reality the cardboard is recycled too. They don’t just throw it away.

      Only if the store is willing to spend the extra time to properly sort its trash. A lot just gets dumped into a big bin, together with plastic wrapping.

        Plus, you just know those packing peanuts aren’t the ones made from cornstarch, they’re styrofoam. (Or, I suppose I could show my a– a bit and say ‘extruded polystyrene,’ but that’s not quite as fun to say.)

    Styrofoam is chucked straight in the trash. Also a lot of cardboard gets disqualified for various stupid reasons. Not an environmental nut, just had the news on and couldn’t find the remote in time lol.
