    Isn’t it illegal to have bosses make their employees do personal labor for them?

      Probably but if the employee has no problem doing it then there’s no issue.

    Might not really be illegal unless it’s a politician and the employee is paid with campaign funds. In private industry I guess it could be considered theft of services, in that the company is paying the employee to be doing something other than moving Stuart’s lawn. Or if the company doesn’t care, then it could be considered compensation that Stuart isn’t paying taxes on.

      The issue with random errands I know for certain is unpaid internships. If you aren’t being paid, everything you do HAS to be related to the industry. If you are running random errands, it has to be paid.
      Otherwise it would just be whatever your contract says.
