When I was in the Navy, although the enlisted evaluation instruction specifically stated that the ratee would not be tasked with writing their own evaluation, my supervisor told me to do so, but he said, “Make sure you write it the way I would”. I responded with, “Complete with the bad spelling and grammar?” Luckily, he thought it was funny.
