Some places actually do it as “Buy 2, get 25% off each” – but you gotta buy two to get the discount. Only the most ridiculous Karens and Kens are gonna argue with that once it’s pointed out to them.
At Borders they sometimes gave me the discount on the most expensive item. I think those employees had truly given up.
It’s always the less expensive item that’s free or half price. Always! Whenever I come across a sale like this I try to get two of equal value.
