As someone mentioned on a strip from a year before this Grumbel’s is probably reaching market saturation at this point when it comes to how many regular customers have signed up for the card. However, Grumbel’s still needs to report rising profits every quarter, and so things have to give, in this case the sign up bonus is going down so that the profit margin will be that much higher for every customer that signs up
