    He has no business having an opinion about Cooper getting married. Cooper isn’t his kid and even if he were, he’s an adult. Even though he married another store employee why should that matter?

      Earlier in the strip, they mentioned there was a rule about fraternisation between managers and non-managers. At the time, I believe Val was the higher ranking party. If that sort of thing happened in other countries there would be contingencies, but Grumbels is determined to fight common sense. It’s very weird because I think if the armed forces can solve this problem, a store should be able to much easier.

        There IS an easy solution: one of them transfers stores. That’s the policy where I work. Stuart just wanted an excuse to fire Cooper.
