Years ago, I heard on the radio that TGIF was closing their restaurants in Hawaii. Since there was a restaurant just a block from my work, I called them to confirm. They had no idea.

I’ve even heard stories of employees coming to work to find the doors locked and a sign on the door. Sh***y way for bosses to treat employees.

Heard through others that literally happened at an airport I used to do work for. Employees showed up to locked doors and a sign saying, “We’re closed.”

Wouldn’t be surprised if they did. I know Sam’s Club did, it happened to happen during Grumbel’s first wave of closures.

They did in Virginia to Blockbuster too. Lied through their teeth that workers still had jobs while morning shift was watching the six o’clock news about the closing.

Remember the people at the top are like the crew of the Costa Concordia.

They do this so that the employees will work up to the day they close. If they knew ahead of time that they’d be out of a job soon, they’d have already been looking for new jobs and quitting this job as soon as another became available.

Why hasn’t Marla googled this before now since she already suspected something was going on?
