“If THEY paid you a living wage”. Missing a word there.

Terrifying that there are still people who actually believe what the Armchair Economist claims.

You get $20 an hour for entry level work, don’t complain about 40% inflation.

      For entry level, I agree.
But Val, Lunker, Amber and all the others haven working here for years.
      That’s no longer “entry level”

You do realize that a lot of the reason people are talking about raising minimum wage is because that inflation came first, right?

If work needs to be done, the people doing it should be paid a living wage, because they are people who need to live. If you’re grumpy that you can’t look down on them anymore because they make the same as you, take it up with your boss or join a union and get your own wage raised.

Real economists: “a 10% US minimum wage increase raises food prices by no more than 4% and overall prices by no more than 0.4%”. Lemos, “A Survey of the Effects of the Minimum Wage on Prices”, 22 Journal of Economic Surveys 187 (2008).

“if I was paid your wage, I certainly wouldn’t go around acting like an asshole towards people that were not so lucky to have my fortune. But that’s the difference between you and me, you’re choosing to be an asshole, and I’m choosing not to be.

Enjoy your consumerist crap that was likely assembled and manufactured by children and adults being paid in pennies every day!”
