I highly doubt it came in that box. Delmans probably denied her return for some reason, so she stuffed it in a Grumbels box, hoping they’d just accept it. We actually had someone try something similar with a Funko pop recently. Only this moron forgot to remove the “only at Walmart,” sticker. He did have a receipt, but given the sticker, he was denied. He threatened to stop shopping with us if we didn’t do it. It didn’t work, yet he comes in almost every morning looking for Funkos. It gives me a little pick me up, sometimes.

About five years ago, my sister and I were helping our mom clear out the basement because she and our dad were downsizing to an apartment. We found a bag of shirt boxes she’d been saving to re-use for gifts. Some were from Gimbel’s, which closed in 1987, and others from a local department store that had closed sometime in the 1990s. I can very much believe that someone bought the shirt at Delman’s, for whatever reason didn’t get a box, and put it in a Grumbel’s box saved from an earlier year.
