Zoom changed this. A VP can now bust people’s chops without ever leaving his office, simply by touring via the DM’s Surface Pro. That’s what happened at my store once!
Actually had the VP show up once. I was told a specific time to be there and of course he showed up an hour early and nobody tried to let me know until earlier that morning. This was preopening so no one was there to let him in. This was back in the early cell phone days were the recommendation was not to charge the battery while the phone was still on. So when I finally got up with plenty of time for the scheduled visit and turn my phone on, I get a panicked call from my DM. I got dressed and rushed over in record time. He ended up being a pretty chill guy. He spent the time waiting for me by walking around the mall and seemed to have enjoyed himself. So other than the early drama, everything went pretty well.
