If you think that’s bad, lady, just wait until September… when, apparently, the retailers think it’s Christmas.

Sweater in August is not bad at all. Dependinbg where you are in the USA September can already be quite cold.

I wish Buffalo had remembered that when I went up there once in the middle of September. It was still like 90 degrees. My relatives were all joking that our immediate family had brought the weather up with us from Florida.

I’m always encouraged when I see fall merchandise. I was in a store today that had a set of dishes with fall leaves on them. I wouldn’t buy them but it was nice to see them. Reminds me that this hot weather will end in a couple months, fall will come again. I’m not fond of summer, it’s my least favorite season as I hate the heat.

In much of the US this is prime school-clothes shopping season for high school and college students – and in most of the country it’s past prime summer-clothes shopping season. So stocking sweaters makes sense, even if some people aren’t ready for summer to end.
