honestly, when I’m at the shelf and there’s only one left of something and it looks like it’s been opened, I open it again to check that everything is there and there’s no damage. Then I pay for it at the till, if the cashier offers a discount because it looks damaged I will gladly accept, but I won’t bring it up if there’s nothing wrong with it
