I have a new headcanon! At this point, Stuart sees Josh as the son he never had and never seemed to have a problem with Val’s work (he promoted her to Shift Supervisor at some point, after all). What if he’s trying to set his protegee up with Val? Would make the fact that Val ends up with Cooper even more ironic.
