$500 would change my life. I could get a TV made in this century. or tires, before the current ones run bare!

Back when $5M was a big lottery prize, a coworker told me if he won $5M, he’d buy a McDonald’s franchise so he could make some “real money.” “Excuse me,” I replied, “But if I win $5M, I’ve already GOT real money. And I don’t need the headache of running a business just to make more.”

Seriously, their ain’t nuthin’ in the world that I want that costs more than $5M. Not even close.

Kind of wonder what this guy plans to do if he wins the Powerball He knows he can’t buy the Mint and just print money for himself, right?

    …

    Right?

My husband once had a job like Cooper’s. He found an unused lottery ticket on the floor of the store where he worked and it turned out to be a $500 winner. It came at just the time we needed it since we were behind on the rent. I hated having to give it all to the landlord but at least I got a dinner out first!

At a former job, I would witness a couple of the yahoos collecting money from other associates to buy entire *rolls* of tickets. I don’t think they ever won enough to much over what everyone had spent, i.e. if a roll of $5 tickets cost $500, they would “win” a total of like $560. This happened at least three times that I was aware of.
