    Thankfully in the 15 years I’ve worked in retail, I have not encountered this yet.

      I’ve had this happen several times to me. All at different locations. Luckily, I tell them, “I don’t work here. Are you that much of an idiot? Get outta my face.”
      Not being on the clock makes me unwilling to put up with them.

    Ask her why a store employee would have on a jacket and be carrying a purse? I was once mistaken for a store employee when I had on a winter coat and was pushing a cart like any customer. I asked the person who asked me where something was if they thought the employees would be working in their winter coats.
