Memories! Back in the 90s working for Woolco (Canada, taken over by Wal-Mart in ’94), I was a teenager working the stock room. Pump-truck riding was a sport to several of us. We didn’t get caught like this. I think management turned a blind eye, at least when the store was closed. After all, it did get us back to the product faster so that we could do more in a shorter amount of time. There were also favourite trucks.

You call them Pump-trucks in Canada? Down here in ‘Murrica we call them Pallet Jacks. Never rode one myself.

Someone at work posted on Facebook a video clip showing picker racing. (picker – a cross between an electric pallet jack and a forklift) Management got pretty heated about it when they managed to view a copy.
