“Hey, I could use some help. Would you mind helping me push freight?”

I’m reminded of an episode of DHARMA & GREG where the titular couple is thinking of buying out the space used by a closed store. At one point, the hippie dad walks in and gasses for a minute or two how he hates stores that have everything on display (“Saying ‘Buy me! Buy me!'”). Even as a kid I wondered what sort of alternative he wanted, a place where the customer had to play guessing games with the staff to find out what they did or didn’t have to sell?

This is when you go to the back for a free 5 minute break pretending to look for something you know isn’t there.
