    Or you could force everyone to get direct deposit. That is what they do where I work.

      That would be nice … if everyone could have a bank account they could afford. Between the minimum deposit to open an account, and bank fees, there are people who more-or-less have to use a check-caching place.

      If only we still had a free postal bank system, like the rest of the developed world… or more credit unions like Canada…

    It’s things like this that make me wish RETAIL was still going on. It shows Grumbel’s slashing payroll so much it’s like corporate thinks they can train the stores to operate themselves without staff, and now we have it where a lot of businesses are desperate for personnel to function properly after all of the pandemic and economic relief going on.
