That actually is a problem for people who are off an irregular shape. Hence the creation of big and tall shops.
Get the large. I like things to fit a bit loose. Besides maybe it will shrink a little in the washing machine.
I have two T-shirts, of the same brand but different colors, bought at the same store on the same day and they’re both marked “XL”. One is huge and the other is comfortably sized.
