    It actually can, I think. Getting a customer who treats you with respect and tries to be pleasant can be more precious than diamonds. I always do my best to be one.

      From my experience, it takes a shining example of the human race to do that. I’ve had, in slightly-less than 10 years of retail, two customers who turned a terrible day around. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had customers take a great day and throw it in the toilet. And this is coming from someone who can count 1,023 on his hands.

      (No, I’m not some freak of nature, I merely learned how to count in binary.)
