That is how that statement goes. Meaning if a customer like a style or a brand they are right in that regard.
It does NOT mean sale people are to bend to their every whim.
Blame poor upper management that is more concerned about keeping a bad customer at all then the pain the sales staff have to deal with for that statement getting turned into how it is used here.
The customer is always right……unless they are wrong. And the customer is wrong more often than not.
