Instead of crushing numbers or crushing Marla’s soul, maybe it’s time Stuart was crushed. Several ideas come to mind. Something overhead just falls on him and squashes him flat as a pancake. Or maybe he’s in one of those little rooms where the walls suddenly move toward the middle squashing him flat as a vertical pancake.
I wish I could tell Stuart which direction to cram his attitude.
Kinda want to ask who did make 15% just to hear him sputter and try to change the subject.
And if Marla and co. had made somehow made 20%, he never would have mentioned it or even called her, I bet.
Grading on a curve throws off the grade already. Using a nonexistent highest score to base the curve on throws it off even more.
The beatings shall continue until morale improves.
But because there are beatings, morale will never improve. Isn’t the vicious cycle wonderful?

The same approach applies to schoolwork in some circles.
