Jugs of milk on top of the chips, package of meat UNDER three loaves of bread, quart of ice cream dripping all over the 2-liter soda bottles, and those are just some of the things I’ve seen dumped around. That’s not even getting into things that have been puked on, things that people stuck their used chewing gum to, or things that have been ‘sampled’ and left for one of us to find.
Man, I don’t even like toting around the stuff I *do* want. I can’t get my head around those that pick stuff up and then abandon it at the checkout.
And that’s if they actually abandon it at the checkout, and not just ditch it randomly throughout the store.
Good thing Grumbel’s isn’t a grocery store…
I swear sometimes customers abandon frozen foods in the detergent aisle just for kicks and grins.
And the ones who do that will be the first to complain when the store raises its prices to cover the merchandise that had to be damaged out.

People are disgusting.
The only place I can think of where leaving stuff out is acceptable is the Library and/or Bookstore.
Even then, they usually have a specific place you should leave it so it can be re-shelved properly.
