It can start 2 weeks before the due date. Anyone who qualifies under the federal Family Leave Act that Marla mentioned is eligible for state paid leave. We also have mandatory paid sick leave of 3 days for all employees working for a company with at least 50 employees. It will,soon cover all employees no matter how big their company is. In Connecticut, retail workers do have benefits.
