Reminds me of the problems some computer retailers had back in the 80s. New CPUs, memory, hard drives, etc. were in high demand, so retailers wanted to buy enough to keep up; however, if they didn’t sell fast enough, the rapid pace of technological advancement would make their stock on the shelves worth less than they paid for it.
