The place I used to work at did that on Black Friday. Most of my coworkers were good cooks, too. Imagine going into the breakroom after a crazy busy four hours and seeing half a dozen Crock-Pots with fragrant, delicious hot food, waiting for you! 🙂
Personally, I dread potluck buffets at work. Everyone brings either casseroles (blech) or their own weird, personal version of some normal dish (“vanilla chili”, anyone?). It’s like living in that episode of M*A*S*H where the father grows a small cornfield and everyone’s looking forward to having corn on the cob, but then the camp cook serves it all up creamed style like it’s an old folks home.

Meatballs? Curried eggs? (which are, in my opinion, have far superior flavour to so-called “devilled eggs”)

Shame we never worked together. I usually bring stuff like pumpkin mousse, fresh baked focaccia bread, homemade angel food cake, fresh tiramisu, etc.
Real homemade Mac & cheese is a winner every time!
Absolutely! 👍
Got compliments on mine from some friends the other day. Pulled pork with cheddar and gouda (and elbow noodles, of course).
That does sound really good. Mac & Cheese goes well with many add-ins.
I once had macaroni and cheese with smoked salmon. That was delicious!
This sounds like a recipe for food poisoning if you ask me.
There’s always desserts. Bring a pan of brownies and they’ll disappear before your very eyes.
Or cookies. I use to make cookies for these kinds things. Simple chocolate chip snaps. Never lasted the whole lunch/dinner.
