I expect Rexall, Metro and Shoppers Drug Mart to pay employees to check me out. Among other companies. So far, their retail staff don’t seem to have been coerced into steering me to the self-checkout aisles.
How do they think the employee feels? Every customer will scream at them about the wait, and there’s nothing the employee can do about it if there are no other cashiers scheduled.
I don’t like the self check outs. But you have to walk past all the empty registers to get to the one or two that are open and then after you finish you have to walk past all of the empty registers again to get to the door. Why can’t they have the open registers closer to the door?
Looking at *you*, WalMart. And the only register that’s open is a self-checkout kiosk.
You expect Walmart to PAY employees to check you out? How naive.
