He must be around my age. When I was a kid all we had was one b/w TV so naturally we fought over what to watch. When I was around 9 or 10 we got a color set and had the b/w for a spare. I may have still been stuck watching b/w but at least I didn’t have to miss my shows anymore.
We’re kinda behind the times here, 8k tvs had been on shelves for a few years by now. I remember when everyone was talking about 4k in 2013 and then everyone being able to afford it a few years later, right around the time 8k was becoming the new hotness

I didn’t realize it, but 720/1080 refer to vertical resolution, while 4K is horizontal. (and still a bit of a stretch at 3840)
