Or she could walk around the store holding the cassette up in the air. Then she’s telling the truth when she says “everybody’s seen the training video”
Arthur was one of the 3 candidates Stuart recommended. Kinda like a ninja apology for Stuart Little (and probably knowing he’d be a good fit for Marla).
I think it was more “I’ll suggest someone who was like Marla, so she can see what she put me through when she was the AM”. Not figuring that she would actually get along with him.
Arthur is lucky that the things he says that sound so much like what Marla said as AM are being said to someone who’s in full agreement. He won’t hear the idiot Corporate sycophant Stuart’s arguments that Corporate is always right no matter how stupid the newest edict is.
I like that they’re both so entrenched in the system that they’re repeating the half-truth she told corporate. She DID find help, but said help was preoccupied with another customer and instead of waiting her turn (like a non-asshole) she barged in and demanded to be served immediately.
If I got the chance to turn “Retail” into a TV show, I’d probably make Arthur Marla’s brother. It just makes sense.
Who would you cast as Marla?
An actress, of course.
Katy Mixon. She played Katie on “American Housewife.”
I vote for Sandra Bullock as Marla.
Personally, I’d keep it running on a repeat loop in the break room for one day. So, anybody who sits down for lunch has technically watched it.
genius!

😆 Good one!

Personally, I’d cast America Ferreira as Marla…
Oh, wait…
See this is how I can tell Grumbel’s is out of date, these days they physically track whether you watched it or not through the internet.
You do know that these strips are 10 years old, right?
I’m so glad I’m self-employed…
This strip makes me wonder what Stuart’s manifest would look like!
