It depends on whether he’s buying it for himself or as a gift that will be wrapped. If for himself he ought not to care about the cardboard sleeve being ripped since he’ll only throw that away. But a gift needs to look nice even the cardboard sleeve. In that case though, he’d be asking her to find one without any rips IN THE BACK.

And the store manager says to throw it in the garbage, right? America wastes so much food with those rules.
