The fact that Millennials like myself and Amber are expected by society to do what our parents did, when everything has become corrupted, is horrendous. We get called “lazy” because… we’re expected to give our lives for a job that underpays us, yet still save up for a house by the time we’re 35 y/o, have multiple children, afford increasingly egregious college costs… the list goes on. When retail conglomerates in particular really poisoned the system so most of us can barely afford to live. It sucks.
Frankly, I’m more concerned about what degree Amber is going for and it’s job potential. With some degrees, about the only job prospect is to get a PHD so you can teach it. The idea that any college degree would pay for itself died sometime in the 80’s.

Amber never got a closing story. Nothing about a different job or finishing college.

You’d be suprised, a lot of graduate programs merely ask for a degree ful stop.
The msot important thing anyone does at college is learning how to learn. And that’s an extremely valuable skill in any job.
