I’m surprised they didn’t do what Marla and Scott did. A simple, extremely low-budget park wedding with parents and closest friends, followed by treating everyone to dinner. At the end of the day, it’s a couple hundred bucks (since Marla reused her mom’s dress) for good memories and good pictures to show off for years.
Especially since Cooper and Val were the only non immediate family that were invited to Marla and Scott’s wedding. I would have been a little hurt at not being invited to even the courthouse.
While I believe that a couple has every right to do a wedding however they choose, they need to understand that it will be a disappointment to their loved ones who would love to attend their wedding. Maybe they can have some kind of reception later on but it doesn’t make up for a wedding. At any rate, congratulations Cooper and Val!

Same thought here.
I totally understand..the hubby & I eloped to Niagara Falls; wasn’t interested in the hoopla.

Good on Cooper, The Wedding Industrial Complex has grown far too powerful.
