Absolutely NONE of the stores in my area that I’d consider working for has 100% of the things I want to buy. There is NO CHANCE I’d ever be able to avoid shopping at any kind of competitor, especially since nobody matches each other for product ranges.
The store I work at always has overpriced pieces of crap that I really don’t want or need. Not only do we NOT get an employee discount, but even the food and drinks sold there are over 30 percent higher than the sane things that Walmart sells right down the street.
They don’t get paid enough to shop there. Unless you sell food they can use their employee discount to pay for, the stuff you sell is stuff they can live without. When you only make enough money to pay bills, rent and food you are not going to have money to spend on junk like what you sell at Grumbel’s.
“In in effort” instead of “In an effort”.
I don’t like to shop my competitors.
