People talked like this right up until Covid and then they HAD to go out / have people over because “it’s my birthday, it’s a holiday, it’s midsummer, it’s midwinter, it’s tuesday” and they were “looooonleeeyyy.”
It was for Issac Asimov.
I prefer brick and mortar. It’s instant delivery… from the display to my hands.
Here it is in 2023 and if drone delivery exists, it’s very limited. Will this end up like the promise of flying cars?
People need human contact sometimes. Even a loner needs to get out into the world sometimes.
10 years later and it still hasn’t happened. They do have the lockers at retail places, though.
