She’s been a member of management since at least 2006! Give yourself some credit Marla. You never know where you find talent. 4 team members from Toys R Us/Babies R Us came to work at the tech company I work for and were some of best techs we had. I was at Tru/Bru for 11.5 years.
While she didn’t appear enough to be considered even a supporting cast member, I wonder how Marla’s mom took all of this. While not in anyway an abusive parent character, a lot of the “running gag” with her was how oblivious she was to her daughter’s feelings towards her own industry and the difficulties they raised. I can imagine her questioning Marla’s application to the office manager position instead of sticking with Grumbel’s to the bitter end in hopes of receiving some of the crumbs leftover from the slices of pie.

I imagine she’s only upset cause now she can’t get Marla to get her really cheap stuff with her employee discount.
The only people who don’t have ‘real’ jobs are billionaires.
Nah, all jobs are mostly good jobs. You guys have assholes who runt he joint.
I’d say all these years in department store management is an excellent qualification for office management. You’ll do just fine.
