Though we did once have a couple grab a sticker for 2.99 and put it on a 300 dollar Power Wheel. They got so mad at me when I kept trying to scan the barcode. The husband put his hand over the barcode and told me to, “Scan the darn f’ing tag!” Store director was called, customers were escorted out by security and banned, especially after Loss Prevention had seen them putting the tag on.
There’s no way that Xbox would realistically be on the $9.99 table anyway. It would be under lock and key and the electron on duty would have to ring it up on the spot before the customer could even handle it. This setup was also true in 2006, at least at Best Buy when I got my Wii there.
